The New Beginnings Church is part of the New Covenant Ministries International (NCMI) started in the 1980s. This ministry is neo-charismatic or often referred to as the "Third Wave". Some of their beliefs include: gifts of the Holy Spirit, glossolalia, prophecy and the laying of hands.

The New Beginnings Church is a two story building with white siding. There is a stained glass cross on the side of the church.

Keremeos is known as The Fruit Stand Capital of Canada. The valley surrounding Keremeos is abundant with apple orchards. The climate is ideal for strawberries and tomatoes.
