Elle est traversée par la Dive du Sud (ou la Dive de Couhé, temporaire), petite rivière qui se jette dans le Clain à Voulon (Vienne). La forêt de Saint-Sauvant couvre la partie nord de la commune.
Les Terres rouges à châtaigniers et les Groies constituent les deux terroirs les plus importants du territoire communal."

Vous trouverez à ces coordonnées un ancien puits aujourd'hui qui sert aujourd'hui de pot de fleurs situé devant la mairie de Rom. Il s'agit d'un puits classique, en pierre et très bien entretenu. Tout le système de poulies pour remonter l'eau est encore en place ainsi que le petit toit pour protéger l'ensemble.

You will find at these coordinates an old well today which is now a flowerpot located in front of the town hall of Rom. This is a classic well, made of stone and very well maintained. The whole system of pulleys to raise the water is still in place as well as the small roof to protect the whole.
