A 77" by 36" by 32" bronze sculpture of George Washington stands on a 6.5' high by 3' square granite base. The bronze plinth is inscribed: GEORGE WASHINGTON. The sculpture is a copy of the original created by Jean Antoine Houdon which is signed with the year 1788. It is considered one of the most accurate depictions of George Washington.

Washington is standing and dressed in the uniform of a General of the Continental Army. He is wearing a knee length coat with epaulets, a waistcoat, and knee length boots. He is holding a cane in his right hand. His his left arm is resting on a pedestal. A coat rests on top of the pedestal. A sheathed sword hangs beside the pedestal. On the ground behind him is a plow.
