Thunder River Rest Area is nestled among tall trees and has nice grassy areas and a nice spot to have a picnic. There are several picnic tables and the rest area has clean restroom facilities. There is adequate parking for cars and RVs. The Thunder River is nearby and will cross it south of the rest area.
