Construit a` la me^me e´poque (vers 1843) que la scierie aujourd’hui disparue, le moulin servait autant les habitants que les travailleurs des chantiers de coupe de bois. Les premiers proprie´taires, William Price et Peter McLeod, exploitaient ainsi le pouvoir de l’eau des deux co^te´s de la rivie`re Chicoutimi pour scier le bois et nourrir les travailleurs.
Longtemps abandonne´, le ba^timent a e´te´ reconstruit afin de lui redonner son apparence d’origine. La forme du toit, les parements exte´rieurs ainsi que les ouvertures ont e´te´ re´tablies minutieusement.

Build at the same time (Circa 1843) than the since gone sawmill, This water mill was usefull to citizens as well as workers from wood cutting sites. The first owners, William Price and Peter McLeod, took advantage of the power of water on both sides of the Chicoutimi River by cutting wood and feeding workers.
Long abandoned, the building has since been rebuilt to its original design. The shape of the roof, the exterior sidings and the openings have been carefully restored.
