Catering for 1,400 students from Kindergarten to Year 12, on a 9 ha campus, the school has been in this position since 1986, when it also changed its name from Pennant Hills Christian School (established in 1979), to reflect its location.
The original vision for the school was to be able to integrate students with a 'disability' into a 'normal classroom'. It has grown from 40 students and 2 staff in 1980, to an enrolment of 1285 in 2006, and 204 employees.
Similar to the private school that I attended in the 1970's, this has four 'School Houses' for separating the students for the competition of sports and fund raisers, etc. These are named after four famous missionaries. Sports offered by the school include: Rugby League, Cricket, Soccer (football), Futsal, Basketball, Touch Football, Rugby League Sevens, and Field Hockey. [Info from Wikipedia]
