The Casina dell'Orologio (clock building) was the old house of the gardener, located in the pine forest. Around 1791, it was modified by Antonio Asprucci with the addition of a portico and a turret with a clock, thus becoming the site of a new museum for sculptures from the excavations conducted in Gabii. The tower houses three bells; in its crest there is a weather vane. The museum was dismantled in 1807 and almost all the sculptures are now in the Louvre Museum. Now the building houses municipal offices.
The tower is a four-sided structure with a clock face on each side. The dials show the hours in Roman numerals and a peculiarity is that 12 small arrows indicate the half hours.
