The bench is in the Central Business District of Tamworth, with the back towards the kerbing of the intersection. The multiple 4cm wide wooden slats are fixed to three curved metal straps, that are in turn welded to two metal posts concreted into the brick paving. It was well painted, a forest green colour, and in good condition. The moderately large bronze plaque overlaps three of the backrest slats, with the following cast inscription:

Given in Memory
ANDREW HENRY SIPPEL
(1873 - 1962)
CLARENCE HADLEY
(1899 - 1984)
Love Val, Ron (dec.), Marshall
Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren
Qld & SA
Sept 2002

Nothing definitive was found online for either of the persons mentioned on this bench.

The bench doesn't have that much of an exciting view, except if you look to the right, you can just see the Federation mural covered, triangular columns.
