This Museum is based around the Tenterfield School of Arts, which was the first building given to the National Trust, in 1957, and is where Sir Henry Parkes gave his 'Tenterfield Oration' in 1889, paving the way for a Conference and Convention, to the ultimate Federation of the six colonies into the nation of Australia in 1901 - 5 years after his death.
