EN The highest fountain in the village stands at the entrance to the "Human Rights Square".
It was built in the first half of the 17th century and before 1654.
The fountain is made of ashlar blocks. It is sober and rustic. The basin is rectangular in shape and has 2 copper cannons.
The washhouse was built in 1873.
After the construction of the Romanesque bridge on 21 October 1698, the Councils decided to build more fountains and wash houses. The washhouse was leaned against the basin of the fountain. It is a classic washhouse with two rectangular basins. It has been designed to accommodate 4 to 6 laundresses. The roof was later built and supported by 4 steel posts topped with molded capitals. The drip bar is suspended from the frame. The roof has been recently renovated.
Then
On the old photo used as a postcard, you can see washerwomen at work.
Now
In the current photo, there is no longer a laundress but the wash-house, like the fountain, continues to flow, waiting for their return.
