The Goulburn Rifle Club was established on 2 March 1865 and is one of the oldest sporting clubs in Australia.

The Goulburn Rifle Club conducts F Class target shooting from 300 to 900 metres on most Saturday afternoons. F Class rifles use .308 Win or .223 Rem ammunition with the rifles fired from the prone position.

The range also hosts the Goulburn Clay Target Club with single & double barrel shotguns.

The Sporting Shooters Association of Australia facilities at the range include an undercover bench area, a club house and a range currently restricted to a distance of 100 metres. The association supports rimfire, centrefire, muzzle loaders, black powder & air guns.
