ISS reached its highest point 263 miles overhead at 05:37:45 EDT at 76 degrees in the NE sky. Its predicted magnitude was -3.6. The distance from Site 1 in Guthrie, OK was 1128 miles and the travel time between sites was 4.21 minutes.

At Site 1 in Guthrie, OK maximum altitude was at 04:33:24 CDT at 45 degrees NE.

Local sky conditions were clear with some ground haze and a waning gibbous moon that was nearly full. Fortunately the moon was somewhat low in the SW sky and we used the corner of our van to block some of the moon's light pollution for viewing ISS.

Despite the bright sky from the moon which washed out most star gazing we were still able to spot the ISS before it reached 10 degrees attitude in the NW at 05:34:26 EDT and watched it past its 10 degree point in the SE at 05:41:01 EDT. This gave us a viewing time of over 8 minutes while it traveled overhead at 17152 mph. We were unable to make out Jupiter and Saturn due to their close proximity to the moon. But did see Venus just coming up in the east as twilight began.

Special thanks to Max and 99 for inviting us to partner for this. Thanks.
