This is the final resting place of my g.g.g. great grandfather, Phillip Farber, who was a patriot. He is listed in the Daughters of the American Revolution book of patriots.

Phillip Farber was born and raised in Morris Co.,New Jersey, where he served in the militia during the Revolutionary War. He raised a family there and in 1804 moved his family to the Steubenville, Ohio area. In 1806 he moved to the Sandy Valley area settling in the extreme N.E. corner of Sandy Twp., Tuscarawas Co., Ohio.

He immediately started to clear land so he could raise crops for food, and building a cabin before winter.
