A bronze plaque is on the angled concrete plinth in the Rose Garden section of the Corryong Cemetery for Charles Edward (Jim) Maguire. It reads:
[RAAF logo Cross]
MAGUIRE
JIM (Charles Edward)
13th July 1913 - 4th October 2014

Mary Valentine nee Ryan
25th April 1918 - 5th December 2012

"HOME AGAIN"

Jim would not have even gotten to primary school before the FIrst World War ended. He would have been a 'late teenager' at the time of 'the Great Depression' that affected almost all of Australians.

It is not known what rank he held, or where he served in the Royal Australian Air Force; but assumed that it was in the Second World War. After that he would have seen many amazing inventions, and seen man walk on the oon.
