A bronze plaque is on the broad angled concrete plinth in the Lawn section of the Corryong Cemetery. it reads:
In Loving Memory
ZENOBIA WINIFRED BRYCESON
Died 10th April 2013 Aged 102 years

Dearly Loved wife of
DOUGLAS R.L. BRYCESON (dec)
Loving and Dear Mother of
Ronal, Judith, Gillian

Loved and Remembered Always

Zenobia (nee Webb, born ~1911) would have been a small child during World War One, and a late teenager during the Great Depression of 1929-32. Shortly thereafter she and Douglas Robert L Bryceson married in 1934, in Victoria [ex-WikiTree: Zenobia Bryceson]. While I didn't get a close-up of Douglas' headstone plaque next to hers, he died 17th October, 1990, aged 80 years.

While he (Douglas Bryceson) missed out on seeing the recognition to their oldest child Ronald, Zenobia would have been a very proud (also worried, no doubt) Mother when he received the highest award given by the State Emergency Services, for his work in supplying diesel fuel to bulldozers that were actively clearing firebreaks breaks in the Pinnabar blaze of January 2003. Victorian SES Director, Rhys Maggs said, "People who qualify probably should be charged with endangering their own lives," he said. "But having said that . . . the only people who qualify are people who display exemplary heroism without any fear for their own lives." [ex-The Age,24 March, 2003: Bushfire Bravery award, and Top Award.

More recently, after his Mother's death, Ron received a Long Service Award for the volunteer work in the Corryong SES: Corryong SES Awards.
