On the east side of Jones, in the Beaty-Mulhausen Community Park, a tree was planted in memory of the Alfred P. Murrah bombing. Most likely there was someone living in Jones who died on that day, as Jones is a bedroom community for Oklahoma City. The memorial was placed by the Jones High School Senior Class of that year.

A bronze plaque mounted to a concrete cube stands beneath the memorial tree and reads:
