The proposed stage is long since it will have to travel 34.9 km requiring 9 hours of walking. This long distance will allow the pilgrim to cross many localities: it will be first Fenioux after 10.3 km after Saint-Jean-d'Angély, then La Frédière 3.7 km after, Juicq, then before reaching Le Douhet then Fontcouverte located 6.5 km upstream of Saintes.

L'étape proposée est longue puisqu'il faudra parcourir 34,9 km nécessitant 9 h de marche. Cette longue distance permettra au pèlerin de traverser de nombreuses localités : ce sera d'abord Fenioux après 10,3 km après Saint-Jean-d'Angély, puis La Frédière 3,7 km après, Juicq, ensuite avant d'atteindre Le Douhet puis Fontcouverte situé 6,5 km en amont de Saintes.
