Built in 1863 of stone the shearing shed contains thirty-six pens, eighteen each side. The roof is supported by pit sawn and hand adzed local blackwood timber. Cut into the stone above the front door is the date, 1863 and brand composed of two Ls (the first reversed). As with most shearing sheds it contains areas for sorting and bailing of the wool.
