This 'you are here' map is situated in a car parking area in Glen Dye on the B974 road which runs over the Cairn o' Mount, a hill pass in the eastern Grampian Mountains.
Around four miles to the north of the pass the road drops down to Glen Dye and on the left-hand side of the road a former quarry has been utilised as a parking area. The car park is used as a starting point for walks in Glen Dye but primarily for the walk up to the top of Clachnaben, a 589 metre hill just over two miles to the west which features a distinctive granite tor on its summit area.
The map on the sign gives the route up to the summit along a well constructed path from the car park. The sign is next to the beginning of the path, on the southern side of the car park.
