[GER] Die Hauptkirche St. Nikolai wurde 1962 in Hamburg-Harvestehude am Klosterstern/Harvestehuder Weg eingeweiht und löste als Hauptkirche die kriegszerstörte Ehemalige Hauptkirche St. Nikolai ab, die heute als Ruine und Mahnmal weiterbesteht. Das Gemeindegebiet der neuen Nikolaikirche wurde aus Teilen der Kirchengemeinden St. Johannis (Harvestehude), St. Johannis (Eppendorf), Matthäusgemeinde Winterhude und St. Andreas (Harvestehude) gebildet.

Die Nikolaustür an der Westdassade des Turmes wurde von Fritz Fleer 1985 geschaffen. Es werden die drei Szenen aus der Nikolauslegende dargestellt.

[ENG] The main church St. Nikolai was consecrated in 1962 in Hamburg-Harvestehude am Klosterstern/Harvestehuder Weg and replaced the war-damaged former main church St. Nikolai as the main church, which today still exists as a ruin and memorial. The parish area of the new Nikolai church was formed by parts of the parishes St. Johannis (Harvestehude), St. Johannis (Eppendorf), Matthäusgemeinde Winterhude and St. Andreas (Harvestehude).

The Nicholas door on the west façade of the tower was created by Fritz Fleer in 1985. The three scenes from the St. Nicholas legend are depicted.
