873009 PIER 15 - Self Centering Plate - Canadian Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

In the 1980s, a row of whitewashed concrete pillars was created to establish a local high-precision 3D geodetic calibrating baseline. There is a circular steel plate on the top of each pillar. Markings identify each pillar. This pillar is PIER 15.

In the western section of Cornwall, PIER 15 is immediately north of the Cornwall Canal where Second Street West turns south towards the Saunders Generating Station. PIER 15 can be seen from Second Street.
