The unmarked anchor is on display near the monument to the "Privateers" who sailed and fought for the American side during the Revolutionary War.
Research indicates that the anchor is from an unknown British Merchant ship, captured and sunk by Privateers. Further information may be found here: (

The park is located just off US 9 and the Garden State Parkway, not far from Port Republic.
