Owned by the folks who run Denton's Barley and Board and LSA Burger Co., as well as neighboring Bumbershoot Barbecue and Kimzey's Coffee right here in Argyle at a budding hot spot at US 377 and FM 407, Earl's 377 is located in the building that was previously home to the Argyle Volunteer Fire Department. Besides the high ceiling, you wouldn't be able to tell, and Earl's is decorated with all kinds of interesting antiques and knick-knacks: Note the truck bed awning over one of the entrances.

This is gourmet pizza, but fortunately, not into the foo-foo range, as you'll be able to identify anything that's going onto your pizza. One can order a 12" pizza, which is along the lines of something personal, and an 18" pizza will feed a small group. They can customize for you, and for those into something a bit more standard, the Gustoso Pepperoni is along those lines. The Yukon Gold, with bits of smashed potatoes (with the skins) is probably the most interesting of the bunch -- see their website for the current menu -- and it is wonderful. While they don't have much in the way of an Italian menu, you'll be able to get Italian subs here, and their salads are superb. In addition to soft drinks, they have a small bar, as well as a small wine list and a good selection of local craft beers. If you have room for dessert, they have a couple of dessert pizzas that will take good care of you. Service is outstanding.

Note that the high ceiling AMPLIFIES NOISE, so if you're looking for a quiet place to dine, this probably won't be it. They're kid friendly, of course, with a small menu just for them.

While there are a few places to plug in your gadgets, they're in high or difficult-to-reach places, certainly not right at your table. Bring a few batteries if you're going to be here for awhile to have a few beers while you work.
