FR En France, on n'utilise plus les pigeonnier pour l'élevage des volatiles afin de les consommer.Quand on en trouve encore en activité, c'est plutôt pour les pigeons voyageurs.
Il est donc assez rare de trouver un pigeonnier de village, au dernier étage d'une maison, sous les toits. Ici, les entrées du pigeonniers sont très reconnaissable, coté soleil mais on ne peut que supposer que la maison a été réaménagée.
EN In France, pigeons are no longer used for breeding poultry in order to consume them, but when they are still in use, it is more likely to be for homing pigeons.
It is therefore quite rare to find a village dovecote, on the top floor of a house, under the roofs. Here, the entrances to the dovecotes are very recognizable, on the sunny side, but we can only assume that the house has been refurbished.
