On the northern side of the Golden Highway (or Telfer Street as it known, as it proceeds through this community) is a small park with a covered BBQ, covered picnic tables, and a toilet block - with at least the BBQ provided and maintained by the local Rotary Club. Under the shade of the gums trees is a stone stele, mounted in a concrete pad, with a cast-iron cogged and spoked 'wheel', painted in the Rotary colours of yellow, and blue writing. It reads:
"ROTARY INTRENATIONAL
75th ANNIVERSARY 1980"
