This sundial of a slightly different kind is located near the beginning of the hiking trail to the island landmark Roque Nublo.

The gnomon (shadow pointer) is formed by a slit between two rusty iron pieces and a beam of sunlight indicates the time on a horizontally labeled metal plate.
