In the Dutch health insurance system it is legally established that medicines can only be bought in a pharmacy. Pharmacy Nieuwstad is one of the two pharmacies in Lochem where you can get the medicines prescribed to you by a doctor.
They also sell a number of self-care medicines that are not reimbursed by the health insurer.
