The Cowboy Muffler Man: Big Bob was acquired 37 years ago by Joseph Matera, the owner of Surplus Unlimited, from the estate of Al Cohen who displayed him at a New London, CT gas station. Muffler Man Cowboy: Big Bob is standing on a platform attached to the side of the building and is secured to the roof by cables. The 30' high fiberglass cowboy wears a blue ten-gallon hat, blue trousers and a white short sleeve shirt. He holds an American flag horizontally in his left hand.
