This is a Palmer mural located on the west wall of the tag agency at 101 E. Main, at the corner of Broadway. The mural shows the town of Hinton as it look in the first years of the 1900's. If you turn around to the west, you will see the same scene as it stands today as the mural shows the view from where you are standing, west on Main Street.

The buildings shown in the mural are mostly standing today, with the prominent one being the two-story bank building on the left. The water well which once stood in the center of Main Street is gone, of course. Horses and buggies, and wagons fill the street in those early bustling days. Hinton was established in 1902, and this scene was probably just a few years after that.
