A fisherman went to sea one morn early in December 1999. Returning that evening, found this lighthouse gone and reported to police the lighthouse stolen. It had been lifted by a crane barge and stored nearby while repairs were being done on base.

Purpose: To Guide Kennebec River Traffic to and from Shipbuilding City of Bath.
Directions to this site: Arrowsic, ME - From ME-127 south, right on Whitmore's Landing Rd., left on Doubling Pt. Road, go to end. Cruises from Maine Maritime Museum pass this site.
