A small garden was inaugurated on the promenade of Arinaga in September 1998. Several colourful sculptures by the local artist Juan González have been set up in this garden, with the theme of local fish species. In this case a puffer fish is depicted.
The garden and the sculptures are dedicated to all athletes who have lost their lives at sea.
