Hinton Recreational Trail and Nature Park is a beautiful area on the west side of Highway 281 on the north edge of Hinton. It contains a beautiful war memorial, picnic pavilion, tree plantings dedicated to local citizens, and a concrete walking trail which encircles the large pond on the west side of the park.

The bridge has a concrete walking surface, with wide, railed approaches. The truss portion of the bridge crosses the creek which exits the pond on the south.
