La basilique Notre-Dame-du-Cap est un lieu de culte de tradition catholique édifié de 1954 à 1965. Le vaste bâtiment en pierre présente un plan octogonal prolongé par quatre bras de transept. Son toit pyramidal en cuivre est surmonté d'un clocher. La façade principale comporte un portail monumental inscrit dans un arc parabolique, tandis que les murs pignons des transepts sont percés d'une rosace et de fenêtres en mitre. L'édifice est flanqué de deux rampes d'accès terminées par des édicules et formant un passage couvert. Une sacristie rectangulaire est accolée au chevet. La basilique est implantée à proximité du fleuve Saint-Laurent sur un site comprenant plusieurs autres bâtiments religieux et divers aménagements paysagers. Elle constitue le coeur du sanctuaire marial de Notre-Dame-du-Cap dans le secteur Cap-de-la-Madeleine de la ville de Trois-Rivières.
