VFW Post 3656 is located on the west side of Bristow. Adjacent to their building they maintain an area with numerous items of military equipment on display as well as specific memorials to servicemen and units.
An M114 Armored Command Carrier stands behind a granite monument dedicated to the 45th Infantry. Engravings of the 45th's Thunderbird are located at the top left and right corners. The monument reads:

War II, 511 combat days, 8 campaigns in
