Le bon Père Frederic Janssoone, Franciscains - Commissaire de Terre Sainte - Apôtres de Notre-Dame du Cap - né a Ghyvelde (France) le 19 novembre 1838 - mort “en odeur de sainteté” le 4 août 1916 - Missionnaire en Terre-Sainte - Vicaire custodial - Fondateur du Commissariat de Terre Sainte à Trois Rivières (1888) - Témoin avec le curé Luc Désilets et M Pierre Lacroix du “Prodige des yeux” de la statue du Notre-Dame du Cap - Prinicipal organisateur des pèlerinages - co-fondateur des annales de Notre-Dame du Cap (1904) - artisan de la restauration des Franciscains au Canada (1890) qui en ce soixante-quinzième anniversaire de leur retour lui érigent ce monument - son corps repose au couvent des Franciscains de Trois-Rivières.

Good Father Frederic Janssoone, Franciscan - Commissary of the Holy Land - Apostles of Our Lady of the Cape - Born in Ghyvelde (France)November 19, 1838 - Died "in odor of sanctity" August 4, 1916 - Missionary in the Holy Land - Vicar - Custodial - Founder of the Commissariat of the Holy Land in Trois Rivières (1888) - Witness with curé Luc Désilets and M Pierre Lacroix of the "Prodigy of the eyes" of the statue of Our Lady of Cape - Principal organizer of pilgrimages - co-founder of the annales of our Lady of the Cape” (1892) - Present at the Crowning of our Lady of the Cape (1904) - Artisan of the restoration of the Franciscans in Canada (1890) who on the seventy-fifty anniversary of their return raise up this monument to him - His body rests in the Convent of the Franciscans of Trois-Rivières.
