The M1, 81mm Mortar was U.S. built and used in World War II, Korea and VietNam. It weighed about 300 lbs., fired 18 rounds per minute, and had an effective range of 3300 yards.

This mortar was placed on display by VFW Post 3656 of Bristow and is dedicated to Sgt. IC Donald J. Hurt who was killed in action April 10, 1952.
