DESCRIBED BY NORTH CAROLINA GEODETIC SURVEY 1988 (LWA) STATION IS LOCATED IN RED SPRINGS. AT THE PUBLIC SCHOOL, IN THE TOP OF THE EAST WING OF STEPS AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE WEST-MOST SCHOOL BUILDING. MARK IS LOCATED 0.46 M (1.51 FT) EAST OF THE WEST EDGE OF THE WING, AND 0.30 M (0.98 FT) NORTH OF THE SOUTH EDGE.
