This building was constructed by the Santa Fe, Prescott and Phoenix Railroad. It was originally located a quarter mile west, facing the railroad tracks and was part of the Hot Springs Depot and hotel, it being the hotel. Hot Springs is a nearby warm spring that was a tourist destination through the end of WWII. As rail passenger traffic declined in importance, the hotel was hoisted up, moved to its current location and rotated. The former front entrance now faces away from the highway. Porches originally surrounded the upper floor, allowing access to the rooms from the outside. They have since been stripped away. The building is now for sale. ( visit link)
