[DE] In exquisiter Lage zur Allee Unter den Linden wurden 1730 zwei Wohnhäuser errichtet, die von dem Architekten Friedrich Wilhelm Diterichs später durch einen großzügigen Mittelbau zu einem Palais verbunden worden sind. Doch erst am Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts entstand der repräsentative Kopfbau zum Prachtboulevard hin. Zu dieser Zeit entstand auch eine Verbindung mit dem benachbarten Kronprinzenpalais, das bis zum Ende der Monarchie 1918 Residenz der verschiedenen Mitglieder der preußischen Herrscherfamilie war.
Heutige Nutzung des Prinzessinnenpalais
Nachdem es zwischenzeitlich im Dritten Reich als Museum genutzt wurde, aber am Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieges so stark beschädigt wurde, dass lediglich die Außenmauern rekonstruiert werden konnten, befinden sich heute verschiedenen gastronomischen Einrichtungen im Palais."
