The Place Jolicoeur monument recognizes the World War I and World War II military service and deaths of four men: William Jolicoeur, and the Gagne brothers Alexandre, Henri, and Louis.

A narrow rectangular plaque mounted to the monument reads:

An American eagle holding a shield and branch is between the men’s names and titles.

Below this and also mounted to the monument surface, the main plaque reads:

A circular Disabled American Veterans seal is incorporated between the “Unveiled by” and “Plaque By” portions.

Another circular Disabled American Veterans seal is placed on its own above the plaques.

The light gray granite monument sits on a double step square base and is topped by a white Christian cross. Behind and to the southeast of the monument is a tall white flagpole flying an American flag. Both elements are on a long and low, narrow and tear-shaped island, landscaped with a few small shrubs and wood chips. All the plaques are on the northwest face of the monument.

It is about 100 feet northeast from the Woonsocket Fire Department Headquarters building and in the middle of a parking area at 5 Cumberland Hill Road/RI-122, Woonsocket, Rhode Island.
