The quote appears following the memorial dedication which reads as follows:
"TO THE GLORY OF GOD
AND IN LOVING REMEMBRANCE OF
ROBERT CAIN
FIRST VICAR OF THIS PARISH
1917-1926
CALLED TO HIGHER SERVICE
28TH JUNE 1932 IN HIS 67TH YEAR.

"HE THAT WINNETH SOULS IS WISE""

The following brief obituary for Robert appeared in the Isle of Man Examiner on 8th June 1932:
"The funeral took place today in the Borough Cemetery, Douglas, last Friday afternoon, of the Rev. Robert Cain, formerly Vicar of Laxey, and who passed away in Braddan Infirmary on the previous Tuesday. Mr Cain , who was 66 years old, was formerly a grocer in Douglas before entering the ministry in 1905. He was ordained deacon in 1906, and appointed to the chaplaincy of St. Luke's, Baldwin. He became Vicar of Foxdale in 1909, and remained there for seven years, when he was appointed Vicar of Laxey, in which parish he laboured for ten years, when he retired and settled in Dougals."
