Located 100 miles northwest of Phoenix, Nothing is a wide spot in the road with a decaying sign and an empty shack. At its peak, the community had a population of 4 who ran a gas station and garage. The community was founded in 1977 and was abandoned in 2005. In an attempt at the improbable, an entrepreneur opened a portable pizza oven in an effort to attract passing motorists. Due to several legal issues and general lack of interest that attempt also failed. Today the community consists of a dilapidated sign and a shuttered building. Interestingly, truck and car traffic continues to stop for a quick rest.
