From the attached sign on the missile:
Developed by Lockheed in the late 1950s, Polaris A-1 was the first submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM). It had a two stage solid-fuel rocket motor and could be shot submerged or surfaced. Its sophisticated inertial guidance system was capable of delivering a nuclear warhead "on target" 1,380 miles away. Sixteen A-1s were deployed on each of five George Washington class nuclear-powered fleet ballistic (FBM) submarines from 1960 to 1965. When the A-1 was officially retired from active service on 14 Octov=ber 1965, these five submarines were all refitted to carry the new Polaris A-3 missile.
This particular A-1 is one of the oldest SLBMs in existence.
