The mark is a Florida Department of Environmental Protection survey disk stamped ---C 702 2007---. It is in Section 26, Township 40 South, Range 19 East.

To reach the mark from the junction of State Road 776 (South McCall Road) and Beach Road in Englewood, go southwest on Beach Road for 1.4 miles to the junction of North Beach Road on the right, turn right on North Beach Road and go north for 1.7 miles to the Sarasota-Charlotte county line, continue north on Manasota Key Road for 1.3 miles to the mark on the right, set in the top of a round concrete monument flush with the ground and level with Manasota Key Road.


The mark is located 28.3 feet east-northeast of the centerline of Manasota Key Road, 2.5 feet southwest of a wooden post and steel cable, 2.0 feet southwest of a Carsonite witness post, and 1.6 feet south of the extended centerline of the driveway at 6650 Manasota Key Road (The Hermitage Art Retreat).
