The war memorial in the Scottish town of Kinross can be found on the east side of the town's High Street in front of the former court house, now a bar and restaurant.
The 1921 memorial is of granite and takes the form of a square base and plinth, surmounted by a square column and topped by a small celtic cross.
There are inscriptions on all four sides of the plinth, with 104 names on the north, east and south aspects from the First World War. On the western aspect facing the street is the following inscription:
'TO THE PROUD MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THE TOWN AND THE PARISH OF KINROSS WHO LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919'
Underneath are 21 additional names from World War II, plus one from Sarawak in 1965.
