Mrs. Pace outlived her husband, David Lloyd Pace, by nearly 63 years, and they share a headstone, near each of their parents. Made of red granite, it has the family name, "Pace", on both sides at the top, and on the front, there is a cross made of a rose with its leaves. Their respective panels read:

David Lloyd
Aug. 12, 1890
Oct. 31, 1937

Stella Floy Day
Sept. 5, 1893
Aug. 4, 2003

Her Findagrave page notes that she was honored as being the oldest recipient of the Family Land Heritage Program Award for having lived 100 years on the land on which she was born: Her parents had homesteaded in Athens just two years before her birth.

Significant events that occurred in her lifetime include:

1893 - Mao Zedong is born in Hunan Province, China.
1903 - Pius X becomes the 257th pope, and later, a saint.
1913 - Ford Motor Company opens up the first mass assembly line in Highland Park, MI.
1923 - U.S. President Warren G. Harding dies in August, spared from the fallout of the Teapot Dome scandal.

1963 - The Coca-Cola Company introduces its first diet drink, Tab cola.
1973 - The World Trade Center is officially dedicated.
1983 - "The Hitler Diaries" are published, but it doesn't take long to declare them to be forgeries.
