Oilton is a town of approximately 1,000 residents. The town was established in 1915 when oil was discovered in the nearby Cushing-Drumright Oilfield. The community is approximately one square mile, and the fire department serves the town and surrounding rural areas.

The fire station is a cream-colored metal building with tan trim, and a shallow gabled roof. The original building had three overhead vehicle doors, but an extension has been built on the north side, adding an additional vehicle bay.

This is a volunteer fire department with a Chief and Captain, and eight firefighters. The department has 911 service. An outdoor warning device is mounted on a telephone pole at the southwest corner of the station.
