In the plaza in front of Agawam are seven flagpoles. Six fly the flags of the six new England States the seventh flies the American flag along with the POW/MIA flag.

On December 11, 2018 the six flags flying outside of Agawam Town Hall were rededicated as a memorial to Eagle Scout Eric Hogan. Eric was involved in the project of displaying six New England flags outside of the Agawam Town Hall prior to his death in a kayaking accident on the last day of his honeymoon on June 19, 2011.
The six New England State flags are displayed in two groups of three. The American flag is offset to the north and set between sets of New England flags.
From left to right the flags are:
Maine
Vermont
Rhode Island
United States
New Hampshire
Massachusetts
Connecticut
