"La ligne 933 de tram créée en 1900 traversait les rues de Nil-Saint-Vincent et convoyait aussi selon la saison les récoltes de betteraves, de la chaux ou du charbon. En 1936, il se transforma en autorail. En 1950, victime du progrès des bus vicinaux, les voies et la gare furent démantelées.
Les Vincentois, nostalgiques, gardèrent l'appellation de «quartier du tram» et continuèrent à se divertir sur le site en jouant à la balle pelote. Des courses de cuistax, calquée sur le modèle d'un grand prix furent même innovées.
Au fond de la place du Tram, un terrain de mini-foot est installé ainsi qu'une aire de jeux constituée de petites plateformes en bois, de deux toboggans et des échelles à cordes. Récemment des appareils de fitness de plein air ont été installés."
