This former Merriwa Branch, of the Commercial Banking Company of Sydney Ltd. (CBC), is now run as a Bed and Breakfast establishment by Peter and Pam Lott. It is on the 'main street' (the Golden Highway) that runs through Merriwa, in the Upper Hunter Valley.
On the right-hand side of the front steps and entrance is the bronze Historical Marker plaque, with the following inscription:

Above the entrance is the Dated Section of the building, showing that this building was built in 1916. 'Obviously' a later building to the first branch building.
